Lifiary is a life calendar app for iOS and Android. You can delete your Lifiary account, and the data stored with it, from inside the app at any time — you do not need to contact us first. This page explains where to find it, what is erased, and what is kept.
How to request deletion in the Lifiary app
Deletion is requested in the app itself, in four steps:
- Open Lifiary and go to Settings — tap your avatar in the top-right corner of the home screen (“Open settings”), or open the “Profile” tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen.
- Tap “Delete account”.
- Confirm with “Delete permanently”. The app warns you first: “This permanently deletes your account and all of its data. This cannot be undone.”
Deletion runs immediately. There is no waiting period, no grace period and no way to undo it; you are signed out as soon as it completes.
If you cannot use the app
If you have already uninstalled Lifiary or can no longer sign in, email privacy@lifiary.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We verify the request, handle it without undue delay and normally within one month, and confirm when it is done.
What is deleted
Completing account deletion permanently erases all of the following:
- The account itself — your sign-in record and email address, your password, and any linked Google or Apple sign-in.
- Your profile — display name, language, appearance, tone and reminder preferences.
- Your life settings — your date of birth and your life horizon.
- Every reflection — the score, the private note and the categories for each day or week you reflected on, plus any categories you created yourself.
- Your notification tokens, so no further push notification can reach your devices.
- The in-app feedback you submitted from Settings, as stored in the app database.
- Your entitlement records for in-app purchases.
- Your avatar files, which are removed from storage before the account itself is deleted.
What is kept, and for how long
A small amount of data outlives the account, because we have to be able to evidence correspondence and consent. These are the retention periods stated in our Privacy Policy:
- Support and general email correspondence, including in-app feedback forwarded to our mailbox: 12 months after the last message in the thread.
- Privacy correspondence, including deletion requests themselves: 24 months after the last message in the thread.
- The copy of in-app feedback forwarded to our mailbox is a separate email from the row stored in the app database. The row is deleted with your account; the forwarded copy is not, and follows the correspondence period above.
- Email consent and withdrawal evidence for the “What we’re working on” mailing list. That list is keyed to an email address rather than to your app account, so deleting the account does not unsubscribe you — use the unsubscribe link in the email, or write to us.
Our Privacy Policy sets out the full retention table, including analytics events and sanitized error reports.
